Description
The cryotube PP is a high-quality vessel specially designed for the storage of samples at low temperatures. It is ideal for use in medical, biological and pharmaceutical laboratories where reliable storage of samples at temperatures from -196°C to 121°C is required. The tube is made of polypropylene (PP) and comes with a mounted polyethylene (PE) screw cap. It is transparent to allow easy visual inspection of the sample.
The cryotube has a height of 36.1 mm and a nominal volume of 1.0 ml. It has a graduation that allows precise volume measurement. The tube is equipped with a standing cross which ensures an upright positioning in the rack or storage box.
The cryotube PP is autoclavable and can therefore be sterilised in an autoclave. It is free of pyrogens, which is an important requirement for the storage of sensitive samples. The tube itself is sterilised by a radiation sterilisation process with a SAL (Sterility Assurance Level) of 10-6 to ensure highest safety and purity.
The cryotube also has other positive features:
- They are leak-proof 94kPa tubes (according to UN3373 P650).
- It has an external thread to prevent cross-contamination
- Coloured insert plates allow easy identification
- Easy one-handed operation - even with gloves on
- Max. RCF 17,000 g
Shelf life of the product is 60 months with controlled storage.
It is recommended to keep the original packaging in a dry environment with a relative humidity of 40% to 60% at a storage temperature between +2°C and max. +30°C.
